DesignersWhy Fashion Keeps Returning to Its Archives
By John Bloste
Julie Kegels, Zane Li and Anil Padia appear in this year’s official winners list.

The LVMH Prize’s official 2026 edition page names Julie Kegels, of the label JULIE KEGELS, as its main prize winner. It lists Zane Li of LII as the Karl Lagerfeld Prize winner and Anil Padia of YOSHITA 1967 as the Savoir-Faire Prize winner.
The edition page also records the finalists and semifinalists, making it a useful starting point for discovering designers beyond the three winning labels.
The Society perspective: an industry award can open a door to a designer’s work, but the next step is to look closely. What ideas recur across collections? How do shape, material and construction support a recognisable point of view?
This is a summary of the published winners list, checked on October 21, 2026. It is not an interview with the designers or an assessment of their commercial performance. The official archive links to individual designer profiles.
